Our story

A gifting house built the slow way

About La Occasio

Made for the moments you cherish forever.

La Occasio is a gifting studio where we believe a meaningful gift should feel considered, not merely chosen. We curate objects, keepsakes and favours for weddings, festivities, milestones and celebrations.

We bring together Indian craftsmanship, modern aesthetics and thoughtful presentation. From brass and ceramics to candles, décor, handcrafted baskets and personalised keepsakes, every piece is selected for the way it looks and feels according to your occasion.

Our approach begins with the moment itself, who is receiving the gift, what is being celebrated, and what emotion should remain after the wrapping is opened. That is why we do not believe in one-size-fits-all gifting. We work across curated hampers and personalised gifts, with the required aesthetic that fits well within your budget.

For us, scale should never mean losing thoughtfulness. Whether we create a few special keepsakes or hundreds of favours for a celebration, the intention remains the same — beautiful objects, carefully brought together, with a distinct ‘La Occasio’ sense of detail.

Rooted in India and designed for the way we celebrate our festivals and occasions, La Occasio brings together tradition without heaviness, luxury without excess, and gifting without the ordinary.

One Occasion. Countless Emotions.

Beginning with the object

Beginning with the object

Every collection starts with a single object we cannot stop looking at — a brass urli with an uneven lip, a glaze that pooled the wrong way and became right. We build the gift around the object, never the other way around.

Made by hands we know

Made by hands we know

Our pieces come from small workshops across India: spinners and casters in brass, studio potters, wax pourers, box makers and printers. Small batches mean we can ask for a different finish, a different size, a different scent.

The occasion decides
III

The occasion decides

A mehendi favour and a corporate box are not the same gesture. We start from the ritual — who is receiving, in what moment, in front of whom — and let that set the material, the palette and the packaging.

Material honesty

Brass that patinas, terracotta that darkens, wax that softens. Nothing pretending to be something else.

Restraint over spectacle

Luxury here is quiet: better paper, cleaner engraving, a ribbon that is actually silk.

Scale without loss

Five hundred favours should feel like five hundred gifts, not five hundred units.

Where our work comes from

Made in association with Indian craft regions

We work alongside makers and clusters whose skills are inseparable from the places they belong to.

Brass

Moradabad

Turned, spun and hand-finished brass — urlis, diyas, bells and serving pieces from a city that has shaped metal for generations.

Ceramics

Khurja

Studio-glazed stoneware and pottery: bowls, vases and planters in matte sand, speckle and soft glaze.

Colourful handicrafts

Jaipur

Vivid handwork, painted details and joyful craft traditions selected to bring colour to a celebration without overwhelming it.

Jute, bamboo & cane baskets

Bengal

Handwoven jute, bamboo and cane baskets that give our hampers their structure and their warmth.

Paintings & artistic work

Bihar

Hand-painted work and artistic detailing drawn from a long folk tradition, applied to gifting with restraint.

Pashmina

Kashmir

Pashmina, for the gifts that ask for softness — kept plain, folded and boxed the way it should be.
